Star Trek Timelines App Reviews

More of the same

Typical "level up quick but then you need to buy stuff" gameplay. Loses its appeal after about 2 days.

Doesnt work iOS 9.3.1 iPhone 6+

Takes a while loading. You hear Q talking. Then it says "Entering Romulan Space" forever. The game never actually opens.

Great

I love being back in the prime universe

Good game

I enjoy it but it feels like a pay wall to progress and when you do pay the drop rates arent that great especially for the amount of money I spent. And I spent way more than I thought I would.

Fun game with some bugs

I do enjoy the concept and find myself spending a lot of time playing this game. I enjoy the variety of ST characters. I have had 2 issues with this game. First, I have been trying to upgrade a character that only needs one item that can only be found in one away mission. After trying that mission literally 100 times, I still do not have the one item. Even for a random generator the odds are slim this would happen. Second, I made an in game purchase which I rarely do for any game. First time I made purchases, the price was 350 and it deducted 828 dilithium. Weird bug since 828 is in no way a factor of 350. I tried going to the Disruptor Beam website to report the bug. After using the form twice and having it wipe out my info without sending, I gave up. I learned my lesson and wont be making any more in game purchases. Enjoy this game but avoid in game purchases.

Cash shop and drop rate fail

I really enjoy the game, the story lines, and love the characters. Yet another potentially great game absolutely destroyed by the cash shop, and modified drop rate.

Needs bug fixes

Lately my faction missions keep disappearing... It lets me spend to take my characters on a mission but when I get the notification and reopen the app, it acts like there was no completed mission at all. Also keeps giving the yellow notification bubble next to crew saying that I can upgrade some of them but when I go to the items it just says "already upgraded" even though the item has not been equipped to anyone yet. Please fix.

Great Fun for Trekkies and Sci-Fi Fans

Immerse yourself in the rich IP of Star Trek. Gather and develop a crew unlike any other in the final frontier, upgrade your ships, and boldly go.

Addictive, but repetitive

Im not gonna lie, Im addicted to this game. I love the collecting characters and leveling them up aspects, but it does take a lot of repetition. That being said I think they give you just enough new items to keep going without running out of resources or patience. Id love some action-packed mini-games to gain more resources, though.

Greedy developers strike again

I liked this game until I found out that you have to pay real money to have more than 35 characters. The first two character cap increases use in game currency. The third you have to pay cash. Such greedy BS.

Sweet Game!

Absolutely hands down the best game I have for my iPhone!

Good game

This game is really good. Great story, and really fun. A few things that can be improved upon: Add more characters, and make them better. Over all, a great game.

SUPER DOPE!!!

This game is really fun and Im not just saying that cause anything Star Trek is dope. Nice time killer and once you start building up your characters youll want to keep making progress. The only downside is that you cant play forever because you run out of chronitons which are needed to play. Of course you have the option to pay in order to get more but nah. All in all, if you like Star Trek, you should download this game and talk the rest of your nerd friends to do the same! #LLAP

Great game but pricey and a lot of bugs

Great game but pricey on in app Items for your crew to update them and build more ships or to advance into anywhere in the game. And the game app freezes then crashes every time on gameplay on my iPad 2

Great game

Theres plenty of gameplay thats fun, but can also be repetitive. I also feel like Ive hit a "pay-to-win" wall. Ive upgraded several characters that are maxed out, but dont have the required skills to advance, and no in game money to buy characters. I rarely, if ever, get characters to continue advancing previously maxed out ones. Even though I feel like Ive but that wall, its still a great Star Trek game to go through and tinker around with for fun every now and then.

Buggy

My screen is stuck on an away team mission screen. I cant select an away team because of a pop up telling me that I need to click on Q... Q is no where to be seen. Ive spent way more minutes net on this game than I care to mention and now I can even do anything but look at the Cadet Nog and spin around outside of my ship.

(Too much?) Patience required

Downgrade edit: the games instability has cost me some good characters (deleted inadvertently while the screen would not respond) and countless chronitons (and therefore chances at the rewards I was aiming at). Not worth buying into until the stabilizing upgrade arrives. --- Like most free-to-play, pay-to-win games, this games rewards ratio is stingy. Add to that the incredibly complex equipment improvement trees, and it takes a long time and lots of odd stops to get your characters promoted. Meanwhile, the situations requirements advance faster. But the premise remains fun: fantasy Trek crews applied to political challenges. Take the long-timed faction challenges as an excuse to go do something else and it all works out alright.

Minutes and minutes of enjoyment!

This is a pay to win game. Once you pass a certain level of accomplishment you find yourself at a point where you can play for about 10 minutes and then have to send your crew on three hour missions to enjoy another ten minutes of play. Its disappointing. Id rather pay $10 to just play the game than to constantly require money for enjoyment. For $10 I can see a movie that lasts two hours or more. For the same amount I can play your game for about a half hour. Thats not good folks. Not good.

Self-licking ice cream cone

First off, I cant stand reviews that start with "I hate games with in-app purchases." Really? Do you expect people to spend countless weeks to produce a product out of their kindness of their hearts? No! I give this game 5stars for the graphics, soundbytes and other visuals and dedication. With the exception of McCoy (any way to shut him up? Seriously!) My problem with the game was that I quickly leveled up my team to max, but then got stuck on levels higher than my team. Ways to build a stronger team? You play for components. When your team is maxed you cant apply any more components. So I shelled out $20 or so (fair enough). The problem was that by paying you unlock ways to pay more (more paid-for shuttle missions to acquire more components). But you still are at an impasse because you cant apply those components to your already maxed team. So how do you progress? So you spend another $20. It offers you ways to spend real money even faster. But your team never progresses and youre still stuck on the same levels. I am a savvy gamer, but I cant find ways to actually progress and then you just sit about waiting for chronitons to acquire components that you cant use and then you realize youre just spinning wheels and wasting time on a game that never pays off. Also, the month card or whatever it is called has now actual benefits other than offering ways to access features that cost further money. So dont bother. The features often glitch/ dont work and all cost. All in all, 2/5 for this let down.

Geek out

This is a great game to geek out to. I love the story and play of the game. Loads of fun.
