Star Trek Timelines App Reviews

Doesnt even work.

Cant get past the intro screen. All Im staring at is a spaceship and some crazy orange distortion in the background. Nothing happens and I waited 30 minutes. What a waste of my time.

Finally an actual serious ST game ..

Great graphic and customer services

Dont waste money

Enjoyed the game. Spent quite a bit in purchases. Had several bugs pop up but no big deal. Then noticed that the dilithium, merits, etc would disappear when I hadnt spent them. Come back on line and they are less. Wrote customer support... After 5 or 6 email exchanges they just closed the ticket and then was surprised when I rated the support low. Play the game but do not spend your money.... The stuff you purchase will disappear and support will do nothing to help. If you have had problems and poor support, you should rate it one star and let other people, especially the company know you are not happy with it.

Awesome

I have been a fan of Star Trek all my life, played a bunch of Star Trek games, this however is the best Star Trek game Ive ever played

Bugged.

Bugged and wont move past the add screen to try and get me to buy stuff. Window wont close when pressing the "x". Wont even go to the purchase screen if you go ahead and try to buy it. With all the other issues I read here and how you MUST spend a lot of money to play and get anywhere its not worth it.

Fix the crashes and payback the lost credits

Crashes often especially when in a space battles, any credits spent are lost

Poorly Made

Freezes on the first mission. Even when I restart the game, it still freezes in the same spot and makes my phone heat up!

Great Game

All the people who say you have to pay to play obviously dont have any self control. It is a free app so obviously they advertise their pay packs in order to make money. The game is a little buggy and I have had a few connectivity issues but overall my experience has been positive. Due to the amazing graphics and high quality audio this game is really only made for newer phones. I have been playing this game for a while and love it even without paying

Enjoyable

A great way to relive the Star Trek genres! Love seeing all the familiar characters.

SCAM!!!

Crashes repeatedly at the same spots during gameplay - right after it charges credits, merits, etc that ultimately cost real world money.... Intentionally coded bugs are BS.

Stranger in a Strange Timeline

Great game, frequent updates. Mostly harmless. In terms of gameplay, I like the relaxed choose your own adventure style to the missions. In the space battles you can upgrade your ship and create your strategy based on which bridge crew you have assigned. The cadet challenges are a great mechanic to make the two star versions of characters worthwhile to level up. The regular events are interesting and great for advancing your crew even if you dont place highly. The arena is a fun way to earn ship upgrades and test your strategy against other players. In the store it would be cool to occasionally see cadet (one and two star) character packs available for credits or merits. In terms of ships, I would like to suggest a 5 star version of the Defiant and an any star level Vulcan science vessel. Also, I think perhaps that the one star and two star versions of Mayweather might need to be swapped, such that Ensign Mayweather would be a two star rather than a one star. The spice must flow.

Great game

Lot a fun, addictive, all the characters,I could do this all day

Star Trek

What can I say! Fabulous! The graphics, animation, voices, personalities, story lines..just beautiful! I appreciate all the hard work because it truly shows! Thank you for an amazing adventure!

Avoid Completely

This game and its creators are only interested in one thing and that is money. Even as a huge Star Trek fan, its impossible to not be offended by the greed of the developers. They even have the audacity to offer in game packages that cost $100. I have spent exactly 4 dollars on this game and I regret every penny. I have played it for several months and the game still has crippling bugs since the time it was launched. Also, the developers are now releasing essentially empty updates with single changes to have negative reviews not show up in the App store. Stay away from this game and especially stay away from this toxic corrupt company Disruptor Beam.

Boldly Go...

Updated for newest release... I have yet to spend real cash to play this game. Im contemplating the monthly card but as of yet cannot find any details for how the fee is charged to renew (auto or otherwise), so the jury is out on that. The game has stalled a couple of times, but Ive had that happen with other games Ive played so it isnt a deal breaker for me. Ive been enjoying this one quite a bit, especially since I finished Plants vs Zombies 2. I needed something that was a bit more challenging. I just wish this one had a game play manual since some features are hard to figure out. Again, I dont work for the company despite the allegation that "all" positive reviews are from the developers. I am, however, a diehard Trekkie for decades. **************** Despite the proliferation of negative reviews, I downloaded this and started playing last night. It was, after all, the 50th anniversary of the premiere of ST:TOS and I couldnt think of a better way to spend my evening. Im enjoying the game play quite a bit. Its very much a "choose your own adventure" style game which is fun. I like the idea that you can have crew members from across the Trekiverse. I started with a very decent crew compliment after I chose Captain Kirk (who is and always will be my favorite captain). Ive managed to level up my characters in a decent amount of time, score decent rewards from missions and complete some of the daily challenges. Overall, I think that if you play strategically, you wont have to spend your hard-earned cash to enjoy the game unless youre a Ferengi and want to game the system. It might take some ingenuity to complete all the missions without expending actual cash, but isnt that the nature of Trek after all? As far as playing with the sound on, theres something infinitely comforting about the sound of space travel, even if we all know that theres actually no sound in space. The sound of the warp engines humming is oddly soothing, almost as if Im in my home away from home. My only complaint is that the Alexander Courage theme isnt present. The game did hang briefly when I mashed too many buttons at once but a brief restart of the game solved the issue, it has not had any issues since. For those who claim that all the positive reviews are written by employees of the company, understand that I am in no way affiliated with the game designers or their distributors.

Player Beware

This game started out very enjoyable! Hell I even threw enough money to get to VIP Lvl 12. But then after an update things took a drastic turn for the worst. I found myself spending close to 1,000 chronotons for ONE item in away missions. My shuttle craft mission failure rate is well over 50% and thats including 4/4 stars at lvl 100 completely equipped with a few 3/5 stars too WITH shuttle boosts. Spending dilithium on the premium rewards only gives me the same junk characters which include Crappy Kazon and TOS Klingons. I already lost a few friends after these changes took place so I dont know how much longer Ill be sticking around. Maybe once they weed out their original client base all the new players will give them the cash they want not realizing this game use to be stress free.

Best with audio on

The game uses real audio from the characters and the music is great too. Its making me want to re-watch all the shows.

Exspensive, Fun, but lots of glitches

Be prepared to spend to advance and then spend more cause things vanish and characters repeat, delete them, get em right back, delete, get em again, and repeat. Game forces you to spend $100s of dollars to advance.

Star Trek game is awesome

Fun to play. Really celebrates 50 years of Star Trek history

Frustrating

Easy to advance at first, but quickly drags you down. Ive spent hours grinding to improve & equip crew, only to continually get crushed on missions. Spent some $$ on items, cant imagine how anyone could play without. To make matters worse, the game completely fails to capture that "Star Trek" feeling. Eats battery life (iPhone 6s). Save yourself the headache.
